Transportation

Lime Scooters are EVERYWHERE to easily make your way over to the Downtown Gaslamp or waterfront Seaport Village area which we used… A lot! 🛴 With 3 people it is cheaper to Uber, but it’s about the experience of really seeing the city, with the wind in your hair on a nice sunny day! 🌞😎 Otherwise, get those steps in with a 25-30 min walk to Downtown Gaslamp! I tell you, it’s all about location, location, location here! THIS is the area to be! 👌

66855164_10219349005585514_1300931274537435136_nUber: Easily accessible within a few short minutes! Less than 10 min to airport!

Things to do Nearby

Balboa Park: Balboa Events The ‘December Nights’ with dozens of booths to indulge at, along with choirs singing, tree lighting & shopping is my favorite! Balboa Park Map

Big Red Chair: Photo opp! Enjoy a nice walk & take in the AM before it gets too crowded. Snap a shot of the Little Italy Street Sign crossing over India St while you’re at it!

Coronado Beach: 12min Uber across the bay from SD! Walk back in time through the famous Hotel Del Coronado. Explore on your own or join a guided tour offered by the Coronado Historical Association. You have to use the old fashioned elevator w/ bellhop – one of the last hotels in SD w/ human operators! After, kick back on the white powdery sand where crowds aren’t found, dabble in art galleries & shopping with all the small town charm, or explore the whole island by bike: Holland’s Bicycles

Tip: The San Diego-Coronado Bridge’s traffic can be bad, especially on Summer weekends. Flagship Cruises offers a ferry ride from Ferry Landing, across the Bay to the Embarcadero. Water taxis are available too!

Happy Head Massage: $39 full body massage that takes walk-in’s? We had to give this place a try – don’t let the name scare you off! 😉 Was nice after ALL the walking we did for a quick little rejuvenation, especially for our feet!

Markets: Along with the Little Italy Mercato Farmer’s Market, check out the Gaslamp Artisan Market on the weekends that’s within 25min walking distance!

Mission Beach or Pacific Beach: $15 Uber from Little Italy. Great for beach play & people watching at one of the many bars along the strip! Walk the boardwalk connecting PB with Mission Beach! Please note, these are packed party beaches!

Petco Park: Catch a Padres game & a beer just outside at Half Door Brewing Co! Even better, sip on a cold brew at the Stone Brew Tap Room inside the stadium!

Point Loma: Stunning sunsets!

San Diego Zoo: Bring the kids!

USS Midway Museum Tickets: Fascinating 1 hour audio tour aboard the ship. Law Enforcement & Military FREE! Stop by the Kissing Sailor Statue AKA “Embracing Peace Statue” located directly across the ship. It’s 25′ tall! You can’t miss it!

As this adorable Airbnb that we’ve had the pleasure of staying at in the heart of Little Italy says on the wall… “Stay classy San Diego” #elmstbungalows 🤙
